Paragliding over Huacachina is a calm, stable and deeply relaxing experience. From the air you’ll take in the beautiful Ica desert, the Huacachina lagoon and, on clear days, the majestic Andes.
Most of our passengers relax completely in the air. The flight is smooth, quiet and pleasant, so you can enjoy the landscape from a unique perspective.
If you like, we can also make it more dynamic: wide turns, more active moves or even higher-adrenaline manoeuvres. We always tailor the experience to what you prefer.
The flight lasts about 15 minutes, depending on wind conditions.

- Recommended weight: 50 kg to 100 kg
- Maximum recommended weight: 110 kg
The minimum weight may vary with wind conditions. On light-wind days we can fly lighter children. If you’re unsure about your case, we can assess it beforehand.

Everything you need to know before flying
Is paragliding in Huacachina safe?
Yes. We have more than 10 years of experience and use certified paragliders and harnesses, protective helmets and regularly inspected equipment. We check the wind before every take-off and, if conditions aren’t right, the flight is rescheduled.
Do I need any experience?
No. It’s a tandem flight: the certified pilot controls the paraglider the whole time and you just follow a few simple instructions at take-off and landing.
How long is the flight?
The flight lasts about 15 minutes, depending on the wind. The full experience includes the dune-buggy ride, preparation and the return to Huacachina.
How much does it cost and what’s included?
The tandem flight costs S/350 per person and includes the dune buggy to the take-off, a certified pilot, safety gear, a 2-minute GoPro or Insta360 video and the return to Huacachina. A full package with 5–7 minutes of video and 10 photos is also available.
Can children fly? Is there a weight limit?
We’ve flown children from age 5 and adults over 70. The recommended weight is 50–100 kg and the maximum is 110 kg. In light wind we can fly lighter children; if you’re unsure, we’ll assess it with you.
What time do you fly?
Mornings from 6:00 to 9:00 and afternoons from 16:00 to 18:30, when conditions are usually best. The exact time is confirmed with each passenger depending on the wind.
What if it’s too windy or the weather is bad?
We never fly under pressure or to keep a schedule. If the wind isn’t suitable, we reschedule your flight.
How do I book and pay?
Message us on WhatsApp with your name, approximate weight, date and hotel. We accept cash, Yape or bank transfer, and card (+5%). You can pay when you confirm or on the day of the flight.
Can I cancel?
Yes, with at least 24 hours’ notice. Later cancellations don’t qualify for a full refund (minimum retention of S/100 for 1 passenger and S/150 for 2 or more).
Where to eat after the flight?
We recommend Wild Olive Trattoria, right on the Huacachina lagoon: artisan pizzas, fresh pasta, Peruvian food and cocktails, 8:00 am – 11:00 pm. Our flyers get 10% off by showing their ticket or a photo of the flight.
Is there a discount if I stay at Wild Olive?

Where is the meeting point?
In the Huacachina oasis. When we confirm your booking on WhatsApp we send the exact spot and time; from there we ride by buggy to the flying area.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. A light jacket is useful for the morning flight. Your phone or camera can come if it's well secured; we record the flight video for you.
When in the year can I fly?
We fly all year round, in the morning and the afternoon. The exact time depends on each day's wind and we confirm it with you when you book.

At Ícaro Adventures we respect our passengers’ privacy. Personal information requested when booking is used only to coordinate the service and organise flights.
We may ask for:

Terms & conditions
By booking with Ícaro Adventures, the passenger accepts the following conditions:
- Flights depend on favourable weather conditions.
- The final decision to fly always rests with the pilot for safety reasons.
- The passenger agrees to follow the pilot’s instructions during take-off, flight and landing.
- The passenger must report any relevant medical condition before the flight.
- Before flying, the passenger must sign a liability waiver as a mandatory part of the process.

To confirm a booking we need:

- Approximate weight
- Approximate or confirmed flight date
- Contact number
- Hotel or accommodation (if known)

Cancellation & refund policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations within this period may be refunded according to the amount paid. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance do not qualify for a full refund because of the logistics already arranged.
Minimum retention for operating costs:
- 1 passenger: minimum retention of S/ 100
- 2 or more passengers: minimum retention of S/ 150
These amounts cover operating costs such as buggy transport and pilot assignment.
No-shows: if the passenger doesn’t show up at the agreed time or arrives late at the meeting point, the booking is considered cancelled and no refund applies, because flights are organised together with other passengers, pilots and transport.
